Badass Comeback- Trekking Mindset

 Me: "Can I go hiking?"

Doctor:  "Yeah, you can hike flat ground."

Me: "Really? (rolls eyes)"

This conversation happened about 8 weeks post operation. I was searching for anything to do that would get me closer to being outside and back on the trails. My recovery progress had been great so far and I was looking to make some serious strides.... Literally.

Badass Comeback Pt. 4 Three Weeks Post OP

Today marks three weeks post op. If I look too much to others and compare myself to other people’s recovery I can get discouraged or maybe cocky. But what I have to realize that this is MY journey and I need to do what I need to do, when I need to do it. I have a lot of support from all different directions and look forward to the next few weeks of making progress.  There is no doubt that I will have to be reigned in at some point from feeling so good, but that is why I have a physical therapist that knows where I was and where I want to be.
